Sheep aren't the first thing to 'spring' to mind when thinking of fine sparkling wine, however...
So far this year we've had sheep in all the vineyards except the Church Block and we've loved it. It's fun to see and hear them and whenever we go for a walk around they all follow.
Skeena, Kasi & Copper have probably not been so keen as, although we trust them, we've not taken them in the vineyards when the sheep have been in, so their walks have been shortened.
It's not just the visual effect of the sheep that we love but also the benefits to the soil: wonderful at keeping the grass and weeds down, aerating the soil and also adds amazing supplements through their dung and uric acid.
We were sorry to see them go but they are now ready for lambing.
